CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College Women's Basketball picked up their first Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) win, and their 5th overall, on Wednesday afternoon, taking out Central Georgia Tech 72-71 behind 23 points from Ja'Mya Johnson, as Taliah Wesley sank a free throw with 0.3 seconds left, and the Lady Tigers held on for the win.
Johnson tied her career high, in just 9 games, knocking down 9 of 17 shots from the field, including 4 of 5 from 3-point land, pulled down 7 rebounds, and had a game-high 4 steals, Wesley poured in 21 points, had 8 rebounds, and a game-high 7 assists, Serai Johnson and Kashanti Marshall each chipped in 7 points, and Aaliyah Ringold and Charmaine Folson both added 6 points.
Andrew takes a week off, then heads to Rome, GA next Wednesday to take on Georgia Highlands. Tip off is at 5:30 pm.
