Fighting Tigers remain undefeated

RIDGELAND, Miss. -- Connor Heydon (New South Wales, Australia) extended his scoring streak with his second straight two goal game as Andrew College (4-0-0) doubled its win total from a year ago with a 3-1 victory over Holmes CC on Saturday afternoon.

Heydon opened the scoring with his fourth goal of the season in the 22nd minute to give Andrew a 1-0 lead.

A sluggish half would end with Andrew holding the slim 1-0 lead.

Holmes CC would level the match on a Fighting Tiger own goal in the 69th minute.

After Marcos Soma (Coconut Creek, Fla.) was fouled in the penalty area earning the Fighting Tigers a kick from the penalty mark, James Quinn (Slough, England) stepped up to net his second consecutive goal of the season.

Heydon would conclude the scoring when the Maitland Grossmann High School alum combined with Chris Beeland (Meansville, Ga.) back-and-forth through the Bulldogs defense for an easy finish for the 3-1 victory.

George Cunha (Pompano Beach, Fla.) recorded one save earning the fourth victory of the season.
