Women's Soccer Ends Season with a Win

Cuthbert, Ga- Women's Soccer Ends Season with a WIN

The Andrew College Women's Soccer faced off against the Wesleyan College Wolves yesterday evening. The Fighting Tigers battled through a hard fought 90 minute match with Wesleyan.

Andrew showed determination and teamwork. The Fighting Tigers struck first when Avah McGinley delivered a perfect assist to Jaycee Later who powered the ball into the back of the net to give Andrew a 1-0 lead before halftime. The Fighting Tigers energy team energy and effort set the tone for a competitive match that showcased their growing chemistry and relentless drive on the field.

Kalliyan Gnem was a constant offensive threat throughout the match. She was creating several scoring opportunities and taking multiple shots on goal, even though none found the back of the net.

Defensively Millie Wilson stood tall for the Tigers earning her first clean sheet of the season with a composed and confident performance in goal. Her efforts anchored the team's defense and played a key role in securing a strong result for Andrew.

The Tigers had the first result in over eight years as the final score of the match was one to zero with the Fighting Tigers as the winner.

The season did end for the Lady Fighting Tigers but they will continue to grow and build for upcoming season as a new team in the NAIA in the Southern States Conference for the fall of 2026.

Andrew College is an NJCAA Div.1 institution located in Cuthbert, GA. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association and in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
