Bison 2nd Half Surge beats Tigers
Cuthbert, Ga- Bison 2nd Half Surge beats Andrew
Andrew College and Southern Union State Community College went head-to-head today.
The Fighting Tigers in the first half gave up a quick goal to Southern Union. While midway into the half, Andrew's Avah McGinley dribbled the ball through all the defenders and scored a goal tying the game up at one to one. With in a few minutes left of the half the Bison scored another goal to take the lead at halftime being up two to one.
In the second half the Fighting Tigers were doing well defensively keeping the ball away as well as they could away from their goalie and attacking when the opportunities presented themselves but eventually just ran out of energy. While Southern Union late in the match scored three goals and sealed the deal for them and won the match 5-1.
The next match for the Fighting Tigers will be at 2:00pm EST on Sunday 10/6/2024 against Oxford College of Emory University being played at the Hord Athletic Sports Complex located Cuthbert, GA.
Andrew College is a NJCAA Div 1 institution located in Cuthbert, GA. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association and in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
