TIFTON, Ga. -- The Andrew College Women's Soccer team went on the road Tuesday and knocked off Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) foe ABAC 2-1. The Lady Tigers have battled through a coaching transition and multiple injuries this season, and were rewarded with their first victory of the season. Head Coach Katie Brasher, who also picked up her first win as a head coach said, "The girls have hung together through tough times, and never let up. It's great to see a positive outcome for their efforts."
Sophomore Chandler Elliott notched both goals for Andrew in the 1st period, banging home an assist from Gracie Ganyon at 24:16, then scoring off a free kick at the 30:00 mark. Freshman Sophia LaMar turned away 5 of 6 shots on goal, to earn the win.
The Lady Tigers take on South Georgia State at the Hord Athletic Complex on Friday at 4:00 pm. ACDN will broadcast the game.
