Berni and Kieffer named NSCAA Scholar All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Andrew College women's soccer players, Ilaria Berni (Coconut Creek, Fla.) and Kayla Kieffer (Middleburg, Fla.) have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-America First Team and Third Team respectively, as announced by the NSCAA.
To be considered for inclusion on the Scholar All-America team, a student-athlete had to possess at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average, had to start more than 50 percent of all games played in the 2015 season and had to be a significant contributor to the team.
Berni recently earned All-Region 17 Second Team Honors as she led the Fighting Tiger attack, starting all 18 matches and recording team-highs in goals (6), assists (6) and points (18).
Kieffer a standout midfielder started all 18 matches as she ranked second in assists (5) and points (11).
The Fighting Tigers who finished as Region 17 Tournament Semifinalist for the second consecutive season were the only NJCAA Division I women's soccer program in Georgia that had players earn Scholar All-American honors in 2015. Additionally the honors bestowed on Berni and Kieffer marked the first NSCAA Scholar All-American honors in program history.
