The Fighting Tigers return from their weekend trip to Atlanta, Georgia to compete in the Luchau Open hosted by Life University. Throughout the tournament, the program had 6 Tournament Placers, 1 Champion, and tallied 123.5 team points. "I am extremely proud of our groups FIGHT, GRIT, and EFFORT we demonstrated. We continue to overcome adversity every week and keep driving to accomplish our goal of becoming the best version within ourselves".
 
6 Fighting Tigers earned placement in the tournament: 
125|Corey Dye|2nd 
Corey Dye finished the tournament with a 4-1 record. Dye dropped his finals match to the #15th ranked wrestler in the NAIA by a decision with a final score 4-2.
 
133|Alex Tabb|4th
Alex Tabb advanced to the Semifinals of his bracket before sliding into the 3/4 place match. He tallied 2 Bonus points victories en route to a 4th place finish.
 
141|Clint Gilbert (Unat.)|1st CHAMPION
Clint Gilbert wrestled unattached in the Luchau Open finishing the tournament with a 5-0 record. Gilbert tallied 3 bonus point victories en route to winning the tournament by a decision 14-9 over Anthony Santos (Life University). This was Gilbert's first competition on the mat in over 3 years. 
 
174|Tim Dunn|5th
Tim Dunn had a strong outing finishing the tournament with a 5-1 record before hitting the 6 match limit. Dunn also tallied 3 bonus point victories before closing the tournament with a 5th place finish.
 
Christian Preston battled adversity, dropping his first match to the eventual finalist from Lander University. A few bumps and bruises didn't stop him from earning a 7th place finish.
 
Jabare George advanced to the Semifinals of the 285 Heavyweight bracket before Medically Forfeiting out the tournament earning him a 4th place finish.
 
The Fighting Tigers will move their focus to dual matches, as they return to the mat after Thanksgiving Break to take on Huntington College (DIII), December 5th @7:00PM in the Tiger Den of Jinks Gymnasium. It will be the First Home Dual in Program History for the Fighting Tigers. There will be a $5 entry cover, and the first match is scheduled for 7:00PM. 
 

Andrew College is a NJCAA Div 1 institution located in Cuthbert, GA. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association and in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
