Lady Tigers take on Top Seeded Jets in GCAA Semifinal Game.

The Andrew College Lady Fighting Tigers are set to face the South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) Lady Jets in the semifinals of the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Region XVII women's basketball tournament. The game is scheduled for Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 6:00 PM EDT at SGTC's Hangar.

Andrew College advanced to the semifinals after a decisive 64-51 victory over fourth-seeded Central Georgia Technical College in the quarterfinals. The Lady Fighting Tigers will now challenge the top-seeded SGTC Lady Jets, who finished the regular season with a 14-1 conference record, earning them a bye in the quarterfinal round.

In their most recent matchup on March 10, 2025, the SGTC Lady Jets defeated Andrew College 99-43. The Lady Jets' sophomore guard, Mio Sakano, led the team with 21 points, while freshman guard Kaiya Carter contributed 20 points. Despite this previous result, the Lady Fighting Tigers aim to leverage their recent momentum to challenge the Lady Jets in the semifinal game.

The winner of this semifinal matchup will advance to the GCAA Region XVII tournament finals, scheduled for Friday, March 14, at 6:00 PM, also at SGTC's Hangar. The tournament champion will earn a spot in the NJCAA National Tournament, set to take place in Casper, Wyoming, from March 25 to April 1.

Andrew College is an NJCAA Div 1 institution located in Cuthbert, GA. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association and in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
