The Fighting Tigers went on the road to play in the Gulf Coast Classic.
Their first opponent is against Gulf Coast State College. Andrew in the first quarter had a slow start but then had their best team play in the second quarter. The Fighting Tigers held Gulf Coast to only score 15 points in the quarter & also scored 10 points of their own. At the start of the 2nd half Andrew kept up the offensive pressure but Gulf Coast just could not miss. The Fighting Tigers lost with a score of 94-31 and were led by Tiyana Snowden with ten points.
Andrew's second opponent is against Chipola College. The Fighting Tigers were very balanced, scoring more than 12 points in each quarter but the second quarter was the only quarter that they had less than 12 points. Chipola offense just could not be stopped as each quarter they scored over 20 points except in the fourth quarter they only scored 16 points. Chipola did win the game with a final score of 90-44. The Fighting Tigers had three players having 10 points or more but leading the way was Braniya Baker with 16 points, Zora Hill with 11 points & Jayla Hutchinson with 10 points on 50% shooting from beyond the arc.
The next game for the Fighting Tigers will be at Enterprise State Community College located in Enterprise, AL on November 13th at 5:30pm Est time.
