Robert Ford II Named New Head Golf Coach

Cuthbert, Ga- Robert Ford II Men's & Women's Golf

Andrew College names Robert Ford II is the newly appointed Head Men's & Women's Golf Coach.

With a background in collegiate golf, Rob played at Hinds Community College, Tougaloo College and Jackson State University.

Previously Robert was as Assistant Men's and Women's Golf coach at Prairie View A&M University. As well as back from 2014 through 2016 he was a Graduate Assistant at Jackson State University and helped run social media accounts.

Coach Ford's has a bachelor's degree in health and physical education with a minor in Mass Communication and has his master's degree in Sports Science. He received both of his degrees from Jackson State University.

Coach Robert Ford said this about coming to Andrew College "I look forward bringing passion for the sport and commitment to player development. I am excited to challenge minds and change lives for the players on/off the course. I aim to foster a culture of excellence & growth, helping each athlete reach their full potential while instilling the values of academic excellence, teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship."

Athletic Director Brian Skortz said this about coach Ford "I am excited to be hiring Robert Ford II as our new Men's and Women's Golf Coach. Coach Ford brings a wealth of college coaching, having worked with both genders as he will guide and grow our Men's Program while also helping us start the Women's Program here at Andrew. He will be a great mentor for our student athletes, and we are excited to see what the future will bring to Andrew College Golf."

Andrew College is a NJCAA Div 1 institution located in Cuthbert, GA. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association and in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
