Andrew Men's Golf to Open Fall Season in Dan York Memorial
CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College men's golf team will open their 2021 Fall Schedule at the Dan York Memorial Tournament, hosted by Wallace State-Hanceville at the Cross Creek Golf Club in Cullman, AL, with 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. The 6,351 yd layout, has a course rating of 70.6, a slope rating of 131 with a par of 72.
The Tigers will send out returning sophomores Jakob Modig and Emil Wallinder, along with newcomers Charlie Cooper, Burke Rawlinson, and Gage Driskell. Modig and Wallinder are both natives of Sweden, while Cooper and Rawlinson hail from Ontario, Canada. Driskell is from Bremen, GA.
Head Coach Aaron Feyes returns for his twelth season leading the Tigers. The PGA golf professional has steadily improved the team standings in the NJCAA Division I, sent more than 30 players onto four-year colleges, finished #10 in the nation in 2014, led Connor Hixson to the 2021 NJCAA Region 17 Individual Championship (a first for the program in over 20 years), and has recently returned to competitive golf himself, recording a pair of Top 10's in just three Georgia Senior Division PGA Tournaments this year.
