Fighting Tigers Sophomore Day

Cuthbert, Ga- Men's Basketball Sophomore Day

The Fighting Tigers face off tomorrow afternoon against the East Georgia State College at home in Cuthbert, GA.

Saturday is the last game of the season in the Jinks gymnasium for the Fighting Tigers.

We want to introduce all five sophomores for their accomplishments throughout the season.

First is Mekhi Witter as he is a forward that transferred from Gadsden Community College. During Mekhi's time here at Andrew he scored 255 points and grabbing 133 Rebounds. Mekhi's best game was against Marion Military Institute having 36 points, 17 Rebounds and 10 Assists.

Second is Kordes Swain. Kordes is a sophomore forward that has been at Andrew for his entire collegiate career so far. During his time at Andrew he has scored 466 points, 377 Rebounds & 75 Assists in 53 games for the Fighting Tigers. His best game was against West Academy with 25 points, 12 rebounds and 8 Assists.

Third is guard Courtney "CJ" Ligon. CJ is a sophomore guard that during his time with the Fighting Tigers he has played nine games, scoring 22 points and dishing out 23 assists. Ligon's best game was also against West Academy, scoring 7 points and having 6 Assists.

Next is Kenneth Raggs. Kenneth is a Redshirt Sophomore who transferred from Brescia University in Owensboro, Kentucky. Raggs has played 14 games for Andrew. Shooting 40 percent from three-point land and 87 percent from the free throw line. His best game was against Marion Military Institute shooting 60 percent from the field.

Last is Ryan Spearman. Ryan is a guard who transferred from Lurleen B Wallace Community College. During his time Andrew Ryan has played in 19 games, scoring 85 points and 14 assists. Spearman's best game was against his former team at Lurleen B Wallace scoring 19 points with shooting 53 percent in the game & 62 percent from three-point land.  

Please help us honor our five sophomores tomorrow afternoon as the Fighting Tigers will be at home vs East Georgia State College located in Cuthbert, GA on March 1st  at 3:00pm Est time.

Andrew College is an NJCAA Div 1 institution located in Cuthbert, GA. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association and in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
