Fighting Tigers Fall to Marion Military
Cuthbert, Ga- Fighting Tigers fall to Marion Military
The Fighting Tigers faced off against Marion Military yesterday on the road.
Andrew previously did beat Marion the first time around at home with a big second half to edge them to victory.
This time at Marion Military, the Fighting Tigers just did not get any luck on the road. Early in the first half Andrew had a few shots that rimmed out of the basket early and Marion took advantage of that and scored at every opportunity they had a chance too. The first half Andrew shot 38 percent and had 30 points, while Marion seemed to not miss shots and scored 49 points in the half.
In the beginning of the second half Andrew started off strong going on a small run and forcing Marion to take a timeout and adjust. Throughout the second half both teams were trading baskets but, in the end, Marion did not let up on either side of the ball and ultimately won the game with a score of 85 to 74.
Notable key players from the game were Jeremiah Flournoy & Kordes Swain both leading the way with 13 points, Mekhi Witter had 12 points & Cole Kring with 6 Assists and 11 Rebounds.
The next game for the Fighting Tigers will be on the road at Florida State College of Jacksonville located in Jacksonville, FL on January 6th at 6pm Est time.
