Fighting Tigers Fall at Home

Cuthbert, Ga- Fighting Tigers lose at Home

The Fighting Tigers are at home for their last home game before going into winter break. Andrew will be going up against Gulf Coast State College.

Andrew & Gulf Coast State College have played once before already. Gulf Coast hosted the Fighting Tigers at their place, where Gulf Coast beat Andrew with a score of 102 to 62.

While this match was at the Jinks gymnasium & Fighting Tigers home court, Gulf coast in the first half could not be stopped offensively as they scored 48 points in the half. While Andrew and a lot of great looks offensively they just did not go into the basket and were help under 20 points for the half.

In the second half the Fighting Tigers were in a better flow on both sides of the ball. Even though they still gave up 49 points in the second half they forced Gulf Coast to shoot tough shots over them and they just went in. The Fighting Tigers also moved the ball better overall ending with 21 team assists and scoring 33 points in the half.

Tonight's leaders for Andrew were Kordes Swain with 14 points & 10 rebounds and Mekhi Witter with 12 points & 8 rebounds.

The next game for the Fighting Tigers will be on the road against Lurleen B Wallace Community College on Saturday 12/7/2024 at 5pm EST.

Andrew College is a NJCAA Div 1 institution located in Cuthbert, GA. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association and in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
