Cuthbert, Ga- Men's Basketball Wins 3 in a Row
The Fighting Tigers battled against the Marion Military Institute Tigers.
It was the first ever match up between Andrew College and Marion Military Institute.
The first half for Marion Military were very promising as they were aggressive offensively shooting over 50 percent from the field scoring 43 points at halftime. They were led by #2 Jaquavious Wallace with 16 points. While Andrew was struggling putting the ball in the basket with shooting only 37 percent from the field and only being down three points at halftime.
In the second half it seems like both teams flipped roles as Andrew dominated the offensive boards ending with 20 team total boards and shooting 55 percent in the half to score 46 points. While also holding Marion to shooting 36 percent from the field and only allowing 35 points.
Andrew did win the game with a score of 86-78, as the Fighting Tigers were led by Mekhi Witter with 36 points, 17 Rebounds & 10 Assists. Also contrubuting was Kordes Swain with 14 points & 11 Rebounds and Ryan Spearman with 12 points.
The next game for the Fighting Tigers will be at home in the Jinks Gymnasium located in Cuthbert, GA on November 7th at 7pm Est time against Enterprise State Community College.
Andrew College is a NJCAA Div 1 institution located in Cuthbert, GA. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association and in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
