Mekhi Witter Score 31 in Fighting Tigers Home Victory

Cuthbert, Ga- Men's Basketball makes it two wins in a row.

The Fighting Tigers tonight this afternoon faced Community Christian Georgia College Knights at home.

In the first half both teams were struggling to put the ball in the basket. Andrew started the first few minutes of the game being up 11 to 4. As the half continued both teams were aggressive and getting to the free throw line. Community Christian only scored 29 points on 28 percent shooting. While Andrew scored 33 points to but up at the half by four.

In the second half the Fighting Tigers started off slow as the Knights battled back and took the lead early to be up 36-35. Then both teams were playing scrappy defense and crashing the offensive boards. The Fighting Tigers defense picked up as they held the Knights to shooting 33 percent total for the game and offensively were getting good shots inside.As Andrew took over and finished the game wining with a score of 90-71.

The Fighting Tigers had three players with double digit points with Mekhi Witter leading the way with 31 points & 14 rebounds. Also, Isiah West had 10 Assists and 9 points.

The next game for the Fighting Tigers will be at home in the Jinks Gymnasium located in Cuthbert, GA against Marion Military Institute on November 5th at 6:30pm Est time.
