Andrew Men's Basketball's Richard Rivers Named to GCAA All-Region Team

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Men's DI Basketball coaches selected their All-Region teams, All-Defensive team, along with the Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Coach of the Year for 2021-2022 season, and Andrew College's Richard Rivers was named to the GCAA Men's Basketball DI All-Region Honorable Mention team.

Rivers, a sophomore from Peachtree Ridge High School, started all 28 games he appeared in this year, averaging 12.8 ppg, while shooting 52% from the field, pulled down 7.5 rebounds per game, added 1.7 blocks per game, and posted 11 double-doubles on the year. He scored a season-high 29 points on January 15 against Southern Crescent Tech.
