Tigers Bounce Back With Statement Win

After falling to Gordon earlier in the week, the Andrew College Tigers responded in a big way Thursday, earning a decisive 16-6 victory at home. Patrick Crosby led the charge, driving in four runs on three hits—including a grand slam in the first inning that set the tone early.

Gordon struck first in the top of the first, scoring three runs on a pair of hits and a sacrifice fly. But the Tigers wasted no time flipping the script. In the bottom half of the inning, Crosby's grand slam capped a five-run outburst that gave Andrew a 5-3 lead.

The Tigers didn't let up. Four more runs crossed the plate in the second, highlighted by Luke Turner's three-run homer and a sacrifice fly from Jack Quick. Gage Fullerton added another sacrifice fly in the third to stretch the lead to 10-4.

Andrew's offense continued to apply pressure, tallying 13 hits in total. Turner led the team with five RBIs and went 2-for-3 at the plate. Bryson Brookshire was a force in the lineup, going 4-for-5. Crosby and Quick also recorded multiple hits, while Al Nsah showed patience at the plate with three walks. In all, the Tigers drew eight walks and turned two key double plays defensively.

On the mound, Adam Boyd picked up the win, throwing three solid innings in relief, allowing just one run on four hits and striking out four. Kevin Bucca started for Andrew and went three innings as well, giving up five runs on seven hits.

Gordon collected 12 hits in the game, but the Tigers' timely hitting and aggressive play kept them in control from the first inning on.

With the win, Andrew College series lead of 2-1 with Gordon and regains momentum heading into a double header this Saturday.
