Andrew College Tigers Fall Short in High-Scoring Battle
The Andrew College Tigers couldn't keep pace in a high-scoring matchup on Tuesday, falling 19-6 to Gordon (17-12).
Zack Bowman sparked the Tigers' offense in the second inning with an RBI single. Andrew added a big inning in the fifth, highlighted by a solo home run from Bryson Brookshire. Al Nsah followed with a two-RBI double, and Gage Fullerton chipped in with an RBI single to cap the scoring for the Tigers.
Riley Gaskins took the loss on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings and allowing nine runs (eight earned) on seven hits while striking out four.
Offensively, the Tigers tallied 10 hits. Brookshire, Bowman, and Nsah each recorded two. Nsah led the team with two RBIs, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases. As a team, Andrew swiped five bags and turned one double play.
Despite the loss, the Tigers showed flashes of offensive firepower and will look to regroup when they continue the series on Thursday, 3/27 followed by a double header on Saturday 3/29.
