Prior to his time in Tampa Bay, Bright served as one of two inaugural Hank Aaron Fellows with the Atlanta Braves. During his 18-month fellowship, Bright rotated through every department within the organization and spent his final six months with the club’s corporate and baseball communications teams. His responsibilities included game notes, game recaps and support for marquee events such as HBCU Night, Hank Aaron Weekend and the Ralph Garr-Bill Lucas Classic.
Bright began his career in sports as a seasonal beat reporter for MLB.com, covering the Braves and the National League East through game recaps, player features, community initiatives and breaking news.
A graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), Bright earned a Bachelor of Science in journalism and interned with the FAMU Athletics sports information department. As a student, he was a member of the Incomparable Marching 100, serving as a chaplain and rank sergeant, and was sports editor for The FAMUAN, the university’s student newspaper.
Bright’s plays a key role in departmental communications as well as the program’s transition from the National Junior College Athletic Association to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
