Andrew College Hires Sterling Bright as Sports Information Director
Cuthbert, Ga - Andrew College Athletics has hired Sterling Bright as the department's Sports Information Director. Athletic Director and Head Men's Basketball Coach Brian Skortz announced Monday.

I'm joining the team at the perfect time, as the department is growing and excelling under the leadership of President Kennedy and AD Skortz," said Bright. "Im ready to get to work and honored to be a part of the Tiger family."
Bright brings a strong background in collegiate and professional athletics, most recently serving as coordinator of communications for the Tampa Bay Rays, where he managed media and player relations, content creation and served as managing editor of the team's in-game publication, Inside Pitch.
At Andrew College, Bright will manage all aspects of athletic communications including press releases, game recaps, statistical reporting, content creation and media relations while growing the brand of Andrew College Athletics across social media platforms.

Prior to his time in Tampa Bay, Bright served as one of two inaugural Hank Aaron Fellows with the Atlanta Braves. During his 18-month fellowship, Bright rotated through every department within the Braves organization and spent the final six months with the team's corporate and baseball communications teams. His duties included game notes, game recaps and supporting various events including HBCU Night, Hank Aaron Weekend and the Ralph Garr-Bill Lucas Classic.
Bright began his career in sports as a seasonal beat reporter for MLB.com, where he covered the Braves and the National League East Division through game recaps, player features, community initiatives and breaking news.
He graduated from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and interned in the FAMU Athletics sports information department. As a student, Bright was a member of the Incomparable Marching 100, serving as a chaplain and rank sergeant, and was sports editor for The FAMUAN, the school's student newspaper.
His role with Andrew College Athletics is effective immediately and will play a key role in department communications as well as their transition from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
Andrew College is an NJCAA Division I institution located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association and the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
