TIFTON, Ga. -- In their Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) opener versus ABAC on Tuesday night in Tifton, the Tigers pounded 19 hits, including 7 doubles and 2 homeruns, played error-free defense, and got 6 innings of shutout pitching from starter Jordan Thomas, to cruise to a 9-0 win.
Thomas allowed just 6 hits and struck out 4 to run his record to 3-3 on the season. Andrew Compton and Josh Peters both went 3 for 5 with a double, Dahlton Cash, Connor Nalley, Chris Schwarzer, Jalin Thomas, Kodi Bishop, and Jordan Holt, all had a pair of hits, with Bishop doubling and hitting his 1st homerun of the year and driving in 3 runs, Thomas doubling twice, and Mike Branche hitting his 1st homerun of the season.
The Tigers take on ABAC at the Hord Athletic Complex this weekend, on Friday night at 6:00 pm for a single nine inning game, then a doubleheader on Saturday, first game at 1:00 pm.
