MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Tigers banged out 17 hits, stole 8 bases, and played error-free ball on Wednesday night to ease to a 10-4 win over the Huntingdon College JV in Montgomery, AL. Andrew Wingate came on and threw 3.1 innings of relief to run his season record to 2-0, allowing no runs, just 2 hits, while striking out 3.
Mike Branche paced the offense, going 4 for 6 with an RBI, Jalin Thomas went 3 for 5 and stole 2 bases, Connor Nalley, Jordan Holt and Will Harris all had a pair of hits and 2-RBI, with Holt stealing 2 bags and Harris one, Andrew Compton drove in a pair of runs, and Josh Peters went 1 for 3 with 2 stolen bases, as the Tigers scored 5 runs in the top of the 6th inning to pull away.
The Tigers return to the Hord Athletic Complex for a doubleheader on Friday against the Faulkner University JV, first game is at 1:00 pm.
