CUTHBERT, Ga. -- On Friday, at the Hord Athletic Complex, the Tigers rode a 4-run bottom of the 5th inning, led by Spencer Nelson's 3 run blast, to break a 2-2 tie, and cruised to a 7-4 win in game two over Lurleen B. Wallace. The Tigers dropped game one 12-5.
Jordan Thomas picked up his 2nd win of the season in game two, pitching 5 innnings, allowing 7 hits, no earned runs, while striking out two. Andrew Wingate recorded his 2nd save, ending the game with his lone strikeout. Jalin Thomas went 2 for 3 with a double and 3 runs scored.
In game one, Mike Branche went 3 for 4, Collin Chambers came off the bench to go 2 for 2, including a double, and Josh Peters and Connor Nalley both went 2 for 4, but 4 costly errors led to 9 unearned runs in the loss.
