CUTHBERT, Ga.-- The Tigers ran into a buzzsaw Wednesday at the Hord Athletic Complex, falling behind 9-3 early, then traded runs the rest of the way, as Southern Union State (AL) came away with a 13-7 win.
Offensive bright spots were a pair of long homes runs, a two-run shot for Jimmy Fackler and a solo one for Bradley Klees, a 2 for 5 day with a pair of RBI and a double for Spencer Nelson, and a 2 for 5 effort from Jalin Thomas, who also stole 3 bases and scored 2 runs.
Reagan Anderson (0-1) took the loss despite allowing just 2 hits and 2 earned runs in 3 innings. The Tigers travel to Panama City, Fla. this weekend to play in the Kevin Miller Tournament, with single nine-inning games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
