Gordy tabbed as District Coach of the Year

Congratulations to Head Coach Billy Gordy as he was named District Coach of the Year in the Gulf-Atlantic District. The Fighting Tigers won the District Tournament this past weekend tallying 165 Team Points with all 10 wrestlers qualifying for the NJCAA National Tournament. With all 10 qualifying, the Fighting Tigers finished with 3 Champions, 3 third place finishers, 2 fourth place finishers, 1 fifth placer finisher, and 1 seventh place finisher. "Building the program from scratch, to winning the District Tournament, the hardwork and hustle goes to the athletes in this program. It truly takes a village to perform at the highest level as I am extremly proud of this team and the fight in all the guys" said Gordy. The Fighting Tigers now prepare for the NJCAA National Tournament which will be held in Council Bluffs, Iowa March 7th & 8th.
