PERKINSON, Miss.-- A hot Sunday afternoon in Mississippi became an all-around shootout on the pitch as Andrew was able to secure a 4-2 victory over East Central Community College.

The Tigers would open the scoring in the 4th minute of action on a corner from Andrei Bajura to Fredrik Ackander for his first collegiate goal. Bryan Zuniga would add to the tally just ten minutes later from the penalty spot for his 4th goal on the season. Just before the end of the half, Osvaldo Cabrales would send a crafty pass over the top of the Warriors back line for a 1st time volley from Ridi Muteba

East Central would come out hard in the second half pulling one goal back to put some scoreboard pressure on Andrew. AC would put the game out of reach in the 63rd minute from a set piece from Bajura, playing a pass through for Reyes Hernandez netting his second goal on the weekend. ECCC would add one more goal in the last five minutes, but it would be to little too late.

"I thought today was exactly the response I was looking for from our team", said Pantazelos. "The key today was to have amnesia from last nights disappointment. Many times young players and teams will hold onto outcomes for too long, and it carries over into the next game. We had a short term memory on the game against MGCCC, and just compartmentalized the experience until it was time to self-assess and team reflect on both games at a later time."

Andrew College will travel to Meridian next Saturday for a 2 p.m. kickoff.
