Bio

Billy Henley joined the Andrew College baseball staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2020 season. He will be primarily responsible for the Tiger’s hitters, catchers, and baserunning, while also coordinating recruiting efforts.

Henley brings experience from both the collegiate and high school ranks as well as travel baseball and collegiate summer baseball.

Henley comes to the Tiger’s after spending last year as the Volunteer Assistant at Georgia State University, where he was responsible for the Panther catchers, as well as coaching 1st base on game days.

He spent two seasons at King's Ridge Christian School in the Atlanta suburbs, serving as associate head coach in 2017 and as the interim head coach/program coordinator in 2018. The two seasons prior, he served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Oglethorpe University (2015-16). He also spent three years (2011-14) as a varsity assistant coach at South Forsyth High School.

Henley has worked with Team Elite Baseball as a coach and roving catching instructor since 2011. He also serves as the Hitting Coach for the Green Bay Booyah of the Northwoods League in the summer. 

Henley played baseball at Georgia College, where he was a member of two conference championship teams and participated in the 2010 Division II World Series. He graduated from Georgia College with a degree in mathematics in 2011, and he added a master's degree in education from the University of Phoenix in 2013.
