CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew Fighting Tigers put on a hitting display in game one, walloping Enterprise State (AL) 18-10, then cruised in game two, 7-1, at the Hord Athletic Complex on Sunday afternoon.
Brenton Phillips broke out the big lumber in game one, going 3 for 3, scoring 4 runs, belting 2 HR's, a 2-run blast and a grand slam, as well as a sacrifice fly to drive in 7 RBI. Brent Todys had a pair of doubles and 5 RBI and Kodi Bishop went 2 for 3 and scored twice as the Tigers pounded out 11 hits. Colby Mullins(1-1) was dominant on the mound, allowing just one earned run, while striking out 5 in 4.0 innings of work.
Nicholas Kempf(1-1) led the way in game two, going 6 innings, allowing one earned run, striking out 4 and scattering 5 hits. Todys was 2 for 3, including a double, with 2 runs scored and Dahlton Cash chipped in a 2 for 3, also with a double and an RBI.
The Tigers take on Wallace-Dothan at the Hord Athletic Complex on Tuesday in a nine-inning affair, first pitch at 6:00 pm
