Lady Tigers Open GCAA Play With 4-3 Win

DOUGLAS, Ga. -- The Lady Fighting Tigers opened GCAA play in Douglas, Ga. with a 4-3 win over South Georgia State College, on Alexandria Felger's goal in the 84th minute, with Alexis Phillips providing the assist, her second of the match.

After falling behind 1-0, Azizat Bakare evened up the match in the 31st minute, with an assist from Phillips. The Tigers then took their first lead of the affair, on a Sydney Hoiberg goal at the 40 minute mark, on a give and go from Payton Tullis. South Georgia leveled the match at two, before Kourtney Mydlowski, with an assist from Bakare, drilled a left-footer in the 73rd minute, to once again give Andrew the lead, 3-2. The Lady Hawks again evened the match at the 79 minute mark, before Felger buried the game winner for the 4-3 victory.

The ladies stay on the road, with a Tuesday match versus undefeated ABAC in Tifton, at 5:00 pm.
