BARNESVILLE, GA -- The ladies (5-6-1) drew 1-1 in double overtime with the Highlanders of Gordon State College (2-7-2). Freshman midfielder Ashley Hagenbaugh recorded her first goal of her career as Andrew came back down a goal to level things up in the second half. Andrew was awarded a penalty kick for a handball in the box in which Hagenbaugh stepped and buried it in the upper left corner out of the Gordon goalkeepers reach. The game was pretty much played in Gordon's defensive half as Andrew outshot the Highlanders 26-10, but couldn't find the winner.
Raquel Hauss recorded four saves on the night. The ladies will return to action Tuesday (10/6) when they travel over to Albany for a region showdown with No. 3 ranked Darton State College. Darton defeated Andrew 4-0 (9/23) in their first meeting.
