Lady Tigers Pounce Early; Beat Southern Crescent Tech 80-57; Roseborough With 22 Points

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College women's basketball team raced out to a 20-pt lead after the 1st quarter, a 22-pt lead at the half, then cruised to an 80-57 win over Southern Crescent Tech on Saturday in the Jinks Gymnasium. Freshman Tytianna Roseborough poured in a season and game-high 22 points, pulled down 7 rebounds, and dished out a game-high 6 assists to pace the Tigers to their 5th overall and 4th Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) win. Roseborough was 7 of 10 from the field, including 6 of 9 from 3-pt land.

Taylor Riggins, another freshman, continued her hot shooting, pumping in 19 points on 6 of 8 from the field and 4 of 6 on 3-pt shots, Dawniqua Snead added 16 points and 7 boards, Nijhala Alexander and Alexis Powell came off the bench to score 7 and 5 points respectively, with Powell adding 5 assists, and L'Trinity Eubanks added 6 points and a game-high 4 steals to the attack.

The Lady Tigers take to the road on Wednesday, traveling to Rome, GA to take on Georgia Highlands College in a 5:30 pm tilt.
