CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College women's basketball team kicked off their 2018-19 season in the Jinks Gymnasium, with a resounding win over Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) for East Georgia State College, 69-61, on Wednesday night. It was Head Coach Cayla Moore's first win as a head coach at the college level.
Dawniqua Snead paced the Tigers with a team-high 15 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals, Destiny Reed posted her first double-double of her career, scoring 11 points and pulling down 10 boards, Alexis Powell chipped in with 12 points, and L'Trinity Eubanks added 11 points, 4 steals, and 4 assists off the bench, as Andrew forced 28 turnovers and picked up 24 steals to coast to the win.
The Lady Tigers are back in Jinks Gymnasium on Saturday, taking on fellow GCAA heavyweight Georgia Highlands at 1:00 pm.
