ATLANTA, Ga. -- Alexis Cainion scored a season-high 24 points, and the Tigers overcame an early double-digit deficit, to pull away from GCAA foe Atlanta Metro on the road Monday night, knocking off the Lady TrailBlazers 86-79 to pick up their first region win and pull their overall record to 5-5.
Dawniqua Snead added 18 points and 5 rebounds, Toddrianna Isler had her sixth double-double of the year, scoring 14 points and pulling down 14 boards, and Yolanda Givens pumped in 15 points and added 4 rebounds as the Tigers put four players in double figures.
The Tigers finish out the week with a road game at CVCC on Wednesday, then a pair of home games in the Jinks Gymnasium, taking on West Ga. Tech at 1:00 pm on Saturday, then Oglethorpe JV on Sunday at 2:00 pm.
