Lady Tigers Roll Behind Isler's 21 Pts; Blow Out Southern Crescent Tech 84-51

GRIFFIN, Ga. -- The Lady Fighting Tigers, behind sophomore guard Toddrianna Isler's 21 points, jumped out to a sixteen point halftime lead, then doubled that lead in the second half, to rout Southern Crescent Tech 84-51 on the road Monday night in Griffin, GA. Dawniqua Snead pumped in 15 points while grabbing 6 rebounds, T'Kayshza King added 12 points and a team-high 4 assists, Takerria Waters pulled down a team-high 10 boards and scored 8 points, both Alliyah Styles and Alexis Cainion came off the bench to drop in 7 points and Isidora Savkovic snatched 9 rebounds and added 4 points, in the one-sided affair. The Tigers took an astounding 97 shots in the 40 minute game, converting 37% from the field, pulled down 44 rebounds, managed to get 14 steals, and had only 12 turnovers.

At 4-3 on the young season, Andrew already has a pair of players on the stats leaderboard, with Isler second in the GCAA in points per game (PPG) with an 18.0 average, while she and Waters are tied for fourth in rebounds per game (RPG) with 8.5, and Waters currently is first in field goal percentage (FG PCT), knocking down 62.1% of her shots.

Head Coach Courtney Pritchett is quick to point out,"With so many young players this year, I've leaned on Todd(Isler) and TK(Waters) to set a tone, and so far they have produced. Our freshman have played like freshman from time to time, but this team has a chance to be really good as the year progresses. Our region is very tough and we've taken on a couple of the heavyweights on the road to start, but if we can stay healthy and continue to get better, this team can make some noise."

Following the Thanksgiving break, the Tigers will jump back into GCAA play, hosting Central Georgia Tech in the Jinks Gymnasium on Wednesday night, tip-off at 5:30 pm.
