Lady Tigers Patra Parris Named to GCAA All-Region Team

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) announced their All-Region, Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year this week, and Andrew College's Patra Parris was named 2nd Team All-Region by a vote of the coaches.

Parris, a sophomore from Bainbridge, Ga., averaged 15.8 points per game, good for 6th in the GCAA, pulled down 7.3 rebounds per game, good for 10th in the GCAA, shot 46% from the field, 7th in the GCAA, started all 29 games for the Tigers this year, scored 715 points in her college career, and earned two GCAA Div. I Women's Player of the Week awards during the 2016-2017 season.

Head Coach Courtney Pritchett remarked, "If there was just one thing I could say to describe Patra, it was she came to play every night," continuing, "she worked hard down in the paint, banging, scrapping, and on more than one occasion, was basically unstoppable."
