Playoff Bound!!

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- With a school record for wins in the regular season (13) already in the books, the high-scoring Lady Fighting Tigers set their sights on the post-season, with a matchup in Cartersville, GA on Tuesday against 2nd-seeded Georgia Highlands College at 6:00 pm, in the quarterfinals of the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) women's basketball tournament. The winner of the tournament will be the NJCAA Region 17 representative at the NJCAA Women's Basketball District Tournament to be held on March 11th with the Region 17 winner hosting the game. 

Tynicia McCoy and Patra Parris, lead the Tigers in scoring with 16.1 points per game (PPG), finishing T-4th in scoring in the GCAA this season. Both have passed the 500 career point total this year. McCoy led the team in free-throw pct with 74.7% shooting. Parris has been named GCAA Div. I Player of the Week twice this year, as well as pulling down 7.5 rebounds per game (REB/G) .  

Toddrianna Isler and Santasia Faust follow with 12.3 PPG, with Isler posting 10.4 rebounds REB/G, good for 3rd in the GCAA this season, and Faust 7.2 REB/G. Isler led the team with 11 double-doubles on the season, with Faust posting a second-best 7 double-doubles. Faust also passed out 2.6 assists per game. Nylia Perry averaged 8.0 PPG while also handing out 2.5 assists per game. 

Melia Jones started 3 games and played in all 28 games this year, averaging 3.4 PPG. Raegine Newkirk, Amanda Hall, and Shondrealyn Sims each provided a spark off the bench all season.

The Tigers finished 3rd in the GCAA in points scored averaging 70.9 points per game.
