CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Andrew College's Emilee Register shut down Wallace State-Dothan (AL) in the opener on Wednesday at the Hord Athletic Complex, scattering 10 hits and striking out 3, while getting several sparkling defensive gems, and Hailey Stovall led off the bottom of the 9th inning with a double, then Taryn Strayer laced a one-out single to left-center, scoring Stovall with the game winner in the 1-0 walkoff win. Stovall and Strayer had all 3 of the Tiger hits in the victory.
In game two, Strayer went 2 for 3 with a run scored, Emily Phillips and Sarah Culp each doubled in a run, but a four-run, top of the 5th inning for Dothan broke open a tight game, and Andrew fell 6-2.
The Lady Tigers are back at the Hord Complex for a 1:00 pm doubleheader against Tallahassee CC (FL) on Saturday
