Lady Tigers Take 2 of 3 From Thomas Univ. JV

THOMASVILLE, Ga. -- The Andrew College softball team took game one 10-9, dropped game two 10-2, then finished off the long day with a 4-2 win in game three. Game one was picked up where it was suspended on February 5th due to rain in Cuthbert, with Andrew leading 5-2 going into the top of the 3rd inning. Second baseman Kaylee Hughes drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning with a single for the 10-9 win. Devin Foster went 3 for 5 with a pair of RBI and runs scored, Hughes was 3 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored, Abigail McIntosh went 3 for 4 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI, Taylor Knight was 2 for 5 with a run scored and an RBI, and Rebecca Johnson picked up the win in the circle and helped her own cause, going 2 for 5 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI.

After the loss in game two, 10-2, Johnson took the circle in game three and dominated, scattering 5 hits over 7 innings, allowing just 1 earned run and picked up her 3rd win of the year, as the Tigers scored 4 runs in the top of the 2nd inning, and Johnson made it stand up. Knight went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI, Carrie McWaters also went 2 for 3 with a triple and an RBI, and Adriana Olguin was 2 for 4 with a run scored in the 4-2 win.

The Tigers return to the Hord Athletic Complex on Monday where they'll take on Bevill State CC (AL) in a 4:00 pm doubleheader.
