Andrew Softball Adds A Pair Of Coaches

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Andrew College Softball Head Coach Kayla Williams announced this week the addition of a pair of assistants to her staff. Both have ties to either Andrew College or the community, as Kenley Kennedy played two years for Williams, and Madison Ragan grew up just outside of Cuthbert.

Kennedy is from Blakely, GA and attended Early County High School. She was a two-year starter for Andrew, appearing in 87 games over her career, banging out 74 hits, including 11 doubles, 2 triples, and 4 home runs, while batting .274. She was a stand out defender in center field and a terror on the base paths, stealing 23 bases while being thrown out just once. For her academic skills, Kennedy was named a 3rd Team NJCAA All-Academic member this past year. She graduated this past May, Cum Laude with a 3.5 GPA, and will also be attending Wallace State-Dothan to obtain her BSN-RN degree this fall.

Ragan was raised in Coleman, GA and is the daughter of Rand and Karen Ragan, owners of Ragan Jewelers in downtown Cuthbert. She graduated from Southwest Georgia Academy and played four years of college softball, her first two years at Chipola College in Marianna, FL, then Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL tp finish out her career. She won a NJCAA Div. I National Championship as a freshman, then finished runner-up in her sophmore year. She started every game for Jacksonville in her two years there, playing 107 games, cranking out 102 hits including 13 home runs, while driving in 62 runs and stealing 13 bases in 15 tries, primarily from the DP spot. She graduated this past May with a degree in Social Sciences.
