Weaver Has Big Day in Lady Tigers Split With Thomas Univ. JV
THOMASVILLE, Ga. -- After dropping game one 4-1 to the Thomas University JV on Thursday afternoon, the Lady Tigers finally shook loose in game two, pounding out 10 hits and pulling away for a 6-1 win.
Catcher Devin Weaver led the Tigers at the plate, going 5 for 7 in the doubleheader, doubling, and driving in 2 RBI in game two. Kaylan Pruitt had 3 hits on the day, including a 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored in game two, Erin Ragan went 2 for 4 with an RBI in game two, and Kenley Kennedy doubled twice in game two and scored a run to highlight the Tiger offense. Hannah Bruce(4-3) limited the Lady NightHawks to just 1 hit and no runs in 4.0 innings of relief work to pick up her 4th win on the season, striking out two.
The Tigers return to the Hord Athletic Complex for a doubleheader against Wallace State-Dothan on Saturday, first game is a 12:30 pm.
