CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College men's soccer team traveled for two games, back to back, this weekend, and were able to pull off two hard fought victories.

The Tigers took on Itawamba CC on a hot Friday afternoon in Fulton, MS. Andrew unlocked the scoring 40 minutes into the first half with a timely through ball from Bryan Zuniga for Andrei Bajura to round the Itawamba goalkeeper for a composed finish. The second half would not be short on drama, the Indians would convert from the spot to even things up. Then shortly after in the 65th minute Bryan Zuniga would score from a pk to take the lead again for Andrew. Itawamba showed great fight, and once again tied things up at 2-2. The Tigers would not be denied on the day, and in the 75th minute Desmond Ramey scored the game winner for his first goal on the season.

Andrew had less than 24 hours before taking on NW Mississippi for another road game Saturday afternoon. The Tigers definitely came out sluggish, but broke the deadlock through Bryan Zuniga on a good clever finish to the Rangers goalkeepers near post for a 1-0 lead at half-time. AC would come out flying in the second half scoring twice in the first six minutes from Rasid Jakupovic and Bryan Zuniga who netted his 16th on the season. The contest would finish 4-0 with Kishawn Campbell putting the stamp on things before time expired.

"This was a great response from a difficult loss on Tuesday", said Pantazelos. Adding, "This team showed incredible character and fight this weekend, we had several key guys out for suspension for conduct that was detrimental to our culture, but we rallied together and found a way to win. I told the players that we will not sacrifice for what we really want down the road, for what we want right now."

The Andrew College Tigers travels to GMC on Saturday October 28th to play in season finale at 3 pm.
