Andrew Golf Opens District IV Championships; Hixson Leads Tiger Effort

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Andrew College men's golf team played the opening two rounds of the 2021 NJCAA District IV Men's Golf Champinships at the Arrowhead Country Club in Montgomery, AL on Monday, shooting 326-316=642(+66) to sit in 10th place. 

Connor Hixson fired a 71-77=148(+4) to sit T24th in the individual competition, Emil Wallinder shot 83-75=158(+14), Jakob Modig carded an 82-83=165(+21), and both Bryce Barfield, 95-81, and Trip Carter, 90-86, both signed for a 176(+32) to round out the Tiger scoring.

The Tigers finish the tournament with 18 holes on Tuesday. Spots are available for both teams and individuals in the 2021 NJCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships, being held on May 10-13 at The Rawls Course in Lubbock, TX
