Hixson Leads Tigers in 1st Round of 2020 Bobcat Classic

GREENSBORO, Ga. -- The Andrew College men's golf team opened their fall season at the 2020 Bobcat Classic, firing a 78-80-82-84=324(+36), settling into 3rd place in the team category. The Tigers were led by sophomore Connor Hixson, who shot an opening round 78(+6), good for a T7th in the individual competition in a field of 36. The tournament is hosted by Georgia Military College and is being held at the Harbor Golf Club in Greensboro, GA. The course is 6,941 yds and plays to a Par 72.

Following Hixson, Bryce Barfield carded an 80(+8) to sit in a T13th, Jakob Modig signed for an 82(+10), landing in a T18th, and Emil Wallinder finished with an 84(+12) and is currently 26th.

The Tigers play 18 more holes on Tuesday to finish out the tournament.

The 2020 Bobcat Classic is the only scheduled tournament for the Tigers for the time being, due to the Covid outbreak.
