Tigers Open Strong in 2017 CACC Trojan Invitational

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The men's golf team got off to good start in their final Fall Season tournament schedule today at the 2017 Central Alabama Community College (CACC) Trojan Invitational, posting a team score of 311. The Tigers are T6th with fellow GCAA member G.M.C., just one stroke behind another GCAA member, ABAC, and are just five shots out of 3rd place. CACC is hosting the tournament at the Wynlakes Golf and Country Club, a 6,979 yd., Par 72, venue.

Leading the way for Andrew was Rasmus Konradsson, who fired a 75(+3), good for a T13th. Tucker Michael carded a 77(+5) to finish in a T23rd, Logan Bracey signed for a 79(+7), pulling in at T28th, and Anthony Whobrey added an 80(+8), to land at T40th. There are 79 players competing in the individual competition.

The Tigers continue to lower their team scores as the fall schedule has progressed. After a 323-332=655 team score in the Piedmont Fall Invitational in early October, Andrew has posted a 312 in their second tournament, the MGCCC Fall Invite, followed by a 311-315-310 at the NJCAA Div. II Preview, and now a 311 to open the CACC Fall Invitational. With fellow Region 17 foes right ahead of them on the leaderboard, the Tigers have a chance to finish the fall schedule on a high note tomorrow with a solid 18 holes.
