Men's Basketball Rolls Over Albany Tech 79-63; Bethea Leads With 13 Points

ALBANY, Ga. -- The Andrew College Men's Basketball team passed their first test of the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) season, going on the road and dismantling Albany Tech 79-63, jumping out to a 10 point halftime lead, then pulled away for the 16 point win over a Titan team that came into the contest with an 8-3 record. The win runs Andrew's record to 10-5 overall and 1-0 in the GCAA.

The Tigers shot a sterling 52% from the field and an even better 57% from three, while cutting their turnovers in half from Monday night, all while clamping down on the defensive end.

Demarco Bethea led a balanced Tiger scoring attack with 13 points, while adding 9 rebounds, Kobe Cato came off the bench to add 11 points and 4 boards, Ricky Clark dropped in 10 points and had 7 rebounds, Sebian Tate, Elliott Yorke Jr., and Samuel McCloud all contributed 9 points as the Tigers certainly raised some eyebrows around the GCAA with the road win.

The Tigers return to the Jinks Gymnasium for a 3:00 pm matchup with Central Georgia Tech on Saturday. ACDN will live stream both the women and men's game.
