Andrew Men's Basketball Survives Against New Rock Prep 71-70; Bethea Wins With Late Free Throws

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College Men's Basketball team shook off the two week holiday break with an inconsistent performance against New Rock Prep in the Jinks Gymnasium on Monday night, that came down to Demarco Bethea at the free throw line, down 70-69, shooting two free throws with 4.5 seconds left in the game. Bethea calmly sank both free throws, to take the lead at 71-70, then Andrew watched a Wolverine shot miss at the buzzer to record their 9th win of the year. The Tigers will now play 16 Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) games over the next two months.

Ricky Clark led the Tiger attack with 16 points, while pulling down 6 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists, Sebian Tate dropped in 12 points with 5 assists and 5 rebounds, Bethea posted his 6th double-double of the year, with 11 points and 10 boards, and Akiem Nickerson added 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, as Andrew had to overcome 29 turnovers.

The Tigers travel to Albany, GA on Thursday night to take on Albany Tech. Tip off is 7:00 pm
