Tigers Knock Off East Ga State 82-79; Fish Scores 23 Points

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College men's basketball team rode the hot hand of Tydarius Fish on Wednesday night in the Jinks Gymnasium, to beat East Georgia State 82-79, picking up their first Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) win and their 8th overall on the season. 

Fish poured in six 3-pointers and grabbed 7 boards, igniting the Tigers early and finishing with 23 points to lead the Tiger effort. Richard Rivers picked up his seventh double-double of the year, finishing with 15 points, 10 rebounds, along with 4 blocks, Tavion Golden had a strong game, with 9 points, 9 rebounds, a pair of assists, and took multiple charges, Tyshun Briscoe had 8 points, 4 boards and six assists, and Sabian Tate chipped in with 6 points and a game-high 7 assists to pace the Andrew attack.

The Tigers travel to Douglas, GA to take on South Georgia State on Saturday at 4:00 pm. It will be a homecoming for Head Coach Rachard Lofton, having spent the past four years on the staff at South Ga State under Hawks Head Coach Cory Baldwin.
