Tigers Blister New Rock Prep 83-54; Briscoe Leads With 16 Points

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College Men's Basketball team put on a defensive clinic Monday night against New Rock Prep in the Jinks Gymnasium, forcing a whopping 28 turovers, to cruise to the 83-54 win. The Tigers had 10 different players score, led by Tyshun Briscoe's 16 points. The Tigers improved to 4-1 on the season.

Briscoe was an efficent 5-7 from the field, including 2-3 on 3-pointers, and made all 4 of his free throws, to go with a game-high 5 assists, Richard Rivers had his fourth double-double of the year, dropping 13 points and pulling down a game-high 11 rebounds, while adding a pair of blocks, Sabian Tate went for 11 points to go with 4 boards and 3 steals, Laugress Underwood came off the bench to add 9 points and 7 boards, Tydarius Fish added 8 points and 3 rebounds, and both Jermicheal Mahorn and Hykeem Powell each had 7 points, as the Tigers shot 44% from the field and 90% from the free throw line.

Andrew will travel to Waycross, GA for this weekend's South Georgia State Classic, taking on Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute (NC) at 6:00 pm on Friday night, then tip off at 1:00 pm on Saturday against Denmark Tech (SC)
