CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College Men's Basketball team made first time Head Coach Rachard Lofton a winner on opening night in the Jinks Gymnasium, topping Enterprise State CC (AL) 82-71 behind Richard Rivers's double-double, 45% shooting from the field, and 77% from the free throw line, as the Tigers cruised to a 1-0 record.
Rivers was 12 of 15 from the field and made both of his free throws to pace the Tiger attack, while adding a game-high 10 rebounds. Laugress Underwood came off the bench to pump in 14 points and grab 6 boards, Tyshun Briscoe added 12 points and handed out a game-high 9 assists, and Jalyn Hickman chipped in 11 points along with 3 assists and 3 steals, to round out the Tigers in double figures.
The Tigers travel to Phenix City on Saturday for a game against Chattahoochee Valley Community College. Tip off is at 4:00 pm
